Summary of report content

Healthwatch Bracknell Forest heard from students at Bracknell and Wokingham College about their mental health which they wanted to hear more about. A survey was co-designed with two students on work experience placement with Healthwatch who study Health and Social Care at the college. The survey was carried out on 5th February 2020 and 50 people responded to it.  

The survey explores the factors that affect young people’s mental health.  These include their physical appearance, how much money they have, whether people feel under pressure to have the latest and best things, how their home environment affects them, whether their physical health affects their mental health, usage of social media and whether celebrities or influencers followed on social media affects them.

There were no recommendations.
