Summary of report content

This update from Healthwatch East Sussex highlights feedback received through its Information and Signposting Service, outreach activity and public engagement work in October 2026. During the month, Healthwatch received 54 enquiries and engaged with 60 local people about their experiences of health and care services.

Recurring concerns included long waits for secondary care appointments, difficulties accessing GP appointments, inaccuracies in medical records and challenges accessing NHS dental care. The report also highlights how Healthwatch supported people with enquiries about vaccinations, medication and concerns about care services. Alongside gathering feedback, Healthwatch carried out Patient-Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE) visits at hospitals and hospices across East Sussex and attended community events to hear people's experiences of local services.
