Summary of report content

Healthwatch Northumberland report on the key issues they heard about in March 2023.  In this period, they  heard from 165 people.  The top issues they heard about were:

  • Dentists: difficulty getting appointments. The situation in Berwick-upon-Tweed is still being raised although not as often as in previous months.
  • Doctors: difficulty getting appointments is the main issue, although lack of communication was mentioned as well.
  • Mental health services: issues equally split between accessing services and poor service once people are seen.
