Summary of report content

Healthwatch Barnsley conducted a survey with 149 people about their experience of accessing health and social care services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The report found that the majority of people used online services (including telephone support). Although, a small proportion of people did not have access to the relevant technology. A number of concerns arose, such as worrying about family and friends, social isolation and their own job/financial security. A number of people reported ways that they have manged their stress, such as hobbies, exercise and talking to friends/family. A small proportion of people were unable to secure a GP appointment.
