Summary of report content

Healthwatch Suffolk worked with Suffolk InterFaith Resource (SIFRE), a county-wide interfaith group, in 2015/16, to explore spiritual care in care homes.  They visited three care homes and assessed to what extent each met the residents cultural and spiritual needs.

The project team considered that these three Care Homes offer some valuable examples of creatively delivering person centered care (spiritual care) which promote the wellbeing of the individual. During the three visits the project team did not encounter residents from a wide range of cultures or diversity of religious beliefs.
