Summary of report content

This report by Healthwatch Hertfordshire details the findings of an audit of the visiting information on the websites of 135 care homes, an online survey, and interviews with care home residents and their loved ones. This research was carried out in response to concerns about the lack of clarity around visiting hours, guidance, and restrictions throughout the pandemic. 20% of care homes had not updated their websites about visiting during the pandemic, and only 495 had information about the ‘Essential Care Giver’ role.
