Summary of report content

The Homeless Access Clinic (HAC) is a well-established drop-in clinic for people experiencing homelessness. It takes place every Thursday afternoon at Brownlow Heath. Healthwatch Liverpool was invited by staff from the Homeless Access Clinic (HAC) to visit the clinic and speak with patients to find out what they thought of the service. A small team of staff spoke with 27 people: 26 patients and one support worker

The feedback was largely positive, especially regarding the staff attitude and treatment. The HAC is providing a valuable service to people experiencing homelessness, meeting their needs for a warm, secure space where they can get a meal. One thing that could have been better is that, due to the pandemic, there was a limit to how many people could wait inside, and therefore many had to wait outside in the cold.
