Walsall Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) carried out a consultation on the future of Urgent Care Services in the area. Three options were proposed to the general public.
In conjunction with Healthwatch Walsall a total of 892 survey responses were collected from respondents living in Walsall and the neighbouring boroughs. Two additional consultation events also took place.
The report lists the options, the numbers in favour of each options and reasons given by those commenting.
The two public consultation events allowed for broader issues surrounding the proposed changes to be discussed. A number of additional themes emerged from these discussions and included education of the public of appropriate use; timescales for change; what will urgent care look like in the future; issues with public transport and issues with GP access.
The report goes on to present the findings in the order of the questions and then selected questions are filtered by demographics such as age, gender and postcode area and analyses individual questions by the protected characteristics. This provides for an extremely lengthy report.
