This is a report by Healthwatch Gloucestershire. During an eight-week period, May to June 2023, Healthwatch Gloucestershire engaged with people across the county to gather their feedback. They conducted an online survey and carried out group discussions and one-to-one conversations in the community. They also met with organisations providing services and support, and performed in-depth research.

- Pockets of poverty in all areas
- ‘Working poor’ are badly affected
- Lack of affordable transport is a key barrier
- Pensioners seem less concerned than those of working age
