Summary of report content

A survey consisting of 24 questions was carried out in Spring 2017. It was available on line but was also used at a number of events including a specific named event. 27 surveys were completed and a further 21 people including people with autism, parents and carers and others were spoken to.

The survey included questions about:

• raising awareness and knowledge within services and the wider community

• more information about support and clearer communication

• community and social interaction

• housing

• employment

The report uses a mixture of graphs, bullet point lists and text to outline its findings.

Despite being an informative report it is not clear how/if the information has been used as it was done at the same time that the local authority were reviewing their autism strategy.
