Summary of report content

Healthwatch Norfolk undertook research on patients’ experiences of care at St Clement’s Surgery in Terrington St Clement. In August 2026, Healthwatch visited the practice and collected feedback from 23 patients, with the reviews achieving an average rating of 4.5 out of 5. The surgery serves approximately 7,750 registered patients and offers a range of services, including chronic disease management clinics.

Overall, patients reported very positive experiences of the practice. Staff were frequently described as polite, friendly, helpful and supportive, while clinicians were praised for listening carefully, taking time with patients and explaining conditions and treatments clearly. Many people said they could obtain appointments quickly, including same-day appointments when needed, and valued the support provided by the on-site pharmacy.

Patients particularly appreciated continuity of care, responsive referrals and staff who took a holistic approach to their health, including mental wellbeing. Several respondents highlighted examples of clinicians going above and beyond to support them and their families. Healthwatch also observed accessible facilities, easy check-in processes and a welcoming environment for patients.

A small number of patients reported difficulties accessing GP appointments, concerns about seeing a nurse when they would have preferred a doctor, and occasional experiences of not feeling listened to. Some also highlighted delays in communication between hospital services and the practice. Despite these concerns, the overall feedback indicated that St Clement’s Surgery was highly regarded by patients and delivered a positive experience of care.
