Summary of report content

Healthwatch Norfolk visited St Augustine’s Surgery in King’s Lynn in June 2026 to gather patient feedback about primary care services. The surgery is part of the Vida Healthcare Group and provides a range of services including chronic disease management clinics. Thirteen patient reviews were collected during the visit, resulting in an average rating of 4.9 out of 5, indicating very high levels of satisfaction.

Patients were overwhelmingly positive about their experiences, frequently describing the service as efficient, well organised and easy to access. Many reported short waiting times, straightforward appointment processes and positive interactions with both clinical and reception staff. Staff were praised for being friendly, professional and helpful, while several patients highlighted the quality of communication during consultations, noting that clinicians took time to explain conditions, treatments and risks clearly and ensured patients understood the information provided.

Healthwatch officers found the surgery to be welcoming, with clear signage, adequate parking, accessible facilities and helpful information displayed in waiting areas. Reception staff were observed interacting positively with patients and supporting people checking in for appointments. Patients also valued the clean environment and convenience of the location.

Although feedback was largely positive, a small number of patients reported difficulties obtaining appointments, particularly when balancing healthcare needs with work commitments or when seeking appointments at short notice. Despite these concerns, most respondents felt listened to, treated with respect and well supported by staff. Overall, Healthwatch concluded that patients were highly satisfied with the care and service provided by St Augustine’s Surgery.
