Summary of report content

Healthwatch Merton undertook a survey of local residents about the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on people’s lives.  They received 63 responses.

Four in five stated that the pandemic has impacted them or their family or friends.  Eighty five percent had received enough information to minimise infection.

Just over half felt that the pandemic had affected their access to healthcare. Nearly four in five had accessed their GP practice for non-Covid related issues.  Of these four in five had had a phone consultation and 6 percent had had a video call. People had both good and bad experiences of remote and face to face consultations.
