Healthwatch Tameside have conducted a survey between May and July 2020 evaluating 359 people's experiences of the covid-19 pandemic.
They found that people have experienced changes to their physical healthcare with delays and cancellations to their existing appointments. There were mixed experiences about social care, whereby for some domiciliary care had continued, but for others it had stopped altogether. The use of technology, again, yielded mixed responses as some found it helped with efficiency and others found it hard to learn to use it. People were missing social activities but had found alternative activities online, again for those who have the right technology and equipment.
