Summary of report content

This report sets out the findings from the ten engagement sessions that Salford Safeguarding Assessment Board undertook with Healthwatch Salford during the period November 2017 to April 2018 to find out what people think about safeguarding in Salford.

Over 230 people took part in the engagement.

The feedback gathered at these events has enabled SSAB to put together a priority plan to look at 5 key themes:

  • Awareness of safeguarding adults
  • Improve the Safeguarding Practice in Salford by ensuring that the public and all those who work with vulnerable adults understand what to do
  • Social isolation
  • Improving safety for adults at risk in the home
