Summary of report content

In August 2013, Healthwatch Derby carried out a PLACE (Patient-Led Assessments of the Care Environment) visit to Royal Derby Hospital.

Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust carry out monthly PLACE Inspections at each of their sites where they produce an internal action plan. Healthwatch Derby contacted the Contracts Monitoring Officer to arrange for the Enter and View representatives to take part.

The purpose of the visit was to make observations about the premises and environment of the provider, with a focus on practical improvements and health and safety.

The report itemises positive observations, as well as negative observations. The report does not contain a response from the provider.
