Summary of report content

Healthwatch Norfolk visited Queens Square Surgery in Attleborough during July 2026 to gather patient feedback about the service. Twenty-two reviews were collected, resulting in an average rating of 3.7 out of 5. Patients generally spoke positively about staff, describing them as friendly, helpful and professional. Many respondents reported feeling listened to by clinicians and valued the care they received, particularly in relation to long-term conditions and mental health support.

Several patients reported positive experiences accessing care, with some able to secure same-day or next-day appointments. Respondents praised the online consultation system, supportive staff and the willingness of clinicians to make reasonable adjustments for patients with specific needs, including those experiencing anxiety. Reception staff, nurses and other clinicians were frequently described as caring, considerate and responsive once patients had access to services.

The most common concern raised was difficulty obtaining appointments, particularly with a GP. Many patients reported long waits ranging from several weeks to months, limited access to face-to-face appointments and difficulties seeing the same doctor consistently. Some patients felt they were being directed to other clinicians when they would have preferred to see a GP, while others expressed frustration about administrative issues, delayed follow-up, phone appointments replacing in-person consultations and communication problems relating to forms and test results.

Overall, feedback suggests that patients value the quality of care and professionalism of staff once they are seen, but many experience ongoing frustration with access to appointments and continuity of care. Healthwatch found that while individual interactions with staff were largely viewed positively, improving timely access to appointments and increasing opportunities for face-to-face consultations remained key areas for improvement.
