Summary of report content

Healthwatch Bury undertook a project on prescriptions to explore people's experiences of a new patient-led prescription model.  They spoke to 41 people.

his snapshot builds on the original project, which highlighted concerns around communication breakdowns, prescription errors, and the usability of digital tools like the NHS app. This follow-up highlights that while some progress may be underway, key challenges remain. Continued efforts are needed to improve digital access, strengthen communication between healthcare providers and patients, and ensure timely, reliable access to medications. These insights will inform future recommendations and support ongoing improvements in patient-led prescription services across Bury North.
