Summary of report content

A PPG is a ‘Patient Participation Group’. This is a group of volunteer patients, the practice manager and one or more GP. A PPG is open to every patient on a GP practice’s list. PPGs are a route for patients to advise and inform the practice on what matters most to patients and to help them identify solutions to problems.

This report is guidance for establishing and running a PPG. It includes guidance on how to set one up, the roles that are required, how to recruit patients, and a series of templates for use when establishing and running a PPG.
