Summary of report content

This report was written by Healthwatch Barnet following feedback from local residents on the topic of transport to cancer appointments.

The report was published October, 2017 with a set of survey work being completed beforehand. A total of 68 responses were gathered with most completed online, and a small number face to face.

Overall sentiment was mixed, a variety of concerns were raised about the difficulties on types of possible transport as well as support that is sometimes hard to access. Knowledge about charity provided options was also found to be low. There were also positive experiences which are included.

A set of recommendations is included in the report. No response from related providers is attached, however much of the transport referred to involves a mixture of privately arranged transport or public transport.
