Healthwatch Lancaster twice visited the accident and emergency department of the Royal Preston hospital, which is part of Lancashire Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, to survey patients about their experience. The aim was to gather patients’ views on the accessibility of the hospital A&E and the quality of care provided whilst also attempting to pick up on appropriate use of A&E.
The report found that of the 20 people spoken to, 19 were pleased with the service they had received.
There are no recommendations in the report, but it does contain a response from the service provider.
