Summary of report content

Healthwatch Kent made contact with foodbanks across Kent. They heard about issues of stigma and challenges around mental health and discharge from hospitals.

The issues which were highlighted in the report included challenges accessing mental health services, people being directly referred to foodbank after being discharged from hospital and staff at foodbanks spend a huge amount of time advocating for people due to not having the health and social support they need.
