Summary of report content

This is a report by Healthwatch Thurrock. The project looks at the 10 year plan for the NHS.

In January 2025, Thurrock Integrated Care Alliance (TICA) commissioned Healthwatch Thurrock to conduct an intensive four-week engagement programme focused on the NHS 10-Year Plan.
The aim of the work was: to support Thurrock residents in submitting their views to the national portal and to gather local insights that reflect the unique needs and views of the community.

In addition to supporting feedback to this portal, Healthwatch Thurrock committed to publishing this report on the findings.

There were 147 responses to the survey and 511 people engaged through the wider work.

Whilst there was broad support for the three shifts suggested for the future of the NHS, there were concerns about access to GPs, waiting times at hospital and for treatment on referral, mental health and what is provided in this area.

There are no recommendations in this report.

There are no follow up actions in this report.
