Summary of report content

Healthwatch Norfolk visited Mundesley Medical Centre in August 2026 and gathered feedback from 15 patients. Overall, feedback was very positive, with an average rating of 4.4 out of 5. Patients repeatedly praised the friendliness, professionalism and efficiency of staff, and many described the surgery as responsive and easy to access. Several respondents highlighted quick referrals, prompt responses to online triage requests and ease of obtaining appointments.

The strongest theme was the quality of patient care. Patients spoke positively about reception staff, nurses and doctors, describing them as kind, caring and helpful. Several reported that staff listened carefully, provided clear information and made them feel valued. Some highlighted specific examples of proactive care and timely treatment, with one patient stating the practice had identified shingles early enough to potentially prevent serious complications.

Most patients reported few difficulties accessing services, with several commenting that appointments were generally available when needed and that waiting times were reasonable. However, one respondent reported problems obtaining appointments, concerns about having to chase test results and frustration that prescription requests could no longer be made by telephone. Another patient mentioned issues with a referral not reaching a neurologist.

Overall, Healthwatch concluded that patients were highly satisfied with Mundesley Medical Centre and that staff were viewed as its greatest strength. The feedback reflected a well-regarded practice where most patients felt they received timely, professional and compassionate care, although a small number of concerns remained around appointment access, referrals and communication about results.
