Summary of report content

Healthwatch Middlesbrough and Healthwatch Redcar and Cleveland had noticed a reluctance on the part of ethnic minority communities and wanted to hold a multicultural event to increase awareness of Healthwatch and address barriers to giving feedback.  They held the event on 4 July 2024. 

The report looks at:

  • Barriers to accessing health and care services
  • How to remove barriers

The report includes a number of recommendations on communiction, cultural considerations, community support and signposting, digital access and financial barriers.
