Summary of report content

Healthwatch Wirral created this brief summary report to give the findings of the survey they carried out to find out about young people in Wirral's understanding of mental health.

148 young people responded to the survey and the biggest mental health issues identified were:

1. Anxiety

2. Stress

3. Depression

4. Pressure from family/friends

Ideas generated for what could be done to raise awareness of services included;

 More publicity in schools, doctors and on television

 More adverts

 More posters

 Awareness online on social media

 More places to go

The summary also mentions what might be the biggest future issues in mental health and what can be done to minimise those issues, as well as looking at awareness of specific organisations in the area delivering mental health services.
