Summary of report content

Healthwatch Manchester carried out a qualitative analysis of two population health campaigns:

  • Little Swaps, Big Changes
  • Start for Life

They undertook a survey and focus groups.  They spoke to at least 19 people.

Neither group of respondents were familiar with either of the campaigns. The majority of respondents had not seen or heard anything about either campaign within the last three months. The Start for Life campaign attracted more positive feedback from respondents than the Little Swaps, Big Changes campaign about the imagery used and its clarity.

Similarly, the Start for Life campaign attracted more positive feedback from respondents about the slogan than the Little Swaps Big Changes campaign. The majority of respondents felt as though the messages in both campaigns matched the imagery. Similarly, the majority of respondents across both campaigns felt represented by the imagery used in the campaign in regards to their age, ethnicity or gender.
