Summary of report content

Healthwatch Nottingham and Nottinghamshire engaged 610 local people through an online or face to face survey and 23 people through focus group discussions. They aimed to gather views from local residents to inform the local plan developed by the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICS (ICS). This was part of the network wide work into the NHS Long Term Plan (LTP).

The report found that urgent and emergency care was rated as the most important priority, followed by mental health, and finance and efficiency. Prevention and treatment were valued the most by local people. Significantly more people felt that investing in buildings and equipment was the most important compared to those who said that investing in digital technology for healthcare was the most important.

The ICS responded to the findings and are working towards sharing this with strategic drivers and will work with Healthwatch Nottinghamshire and Nottingham to develop an engagement plan to track progress.
