This is a report by Healthwatch Blackburn with Darwen. The project looks at dementia support available in the local area.
The plans by the local authority as well as voluntary and community groups are explored. A total of 121 people gave their views through a mix of survey, focus groups, and meeting with local groups.
There are recommendations in this report.
The report includes a number of recommendations that are embedded throughout the report. Broadly they look at the communication needs, funding and support for local community services, greater awareness of what is available.
