Summary of report content

Healthwatch Norfolk undertook research on patients’ experiences of care at Litcham Health Centre. In August 2026, Healthwatch visited the practice and collected feedback from 17 patients, with reviews achieving an average rating of 4.2 out of 5. The practice serves approximately 3,500 registered patients and provides a range of services, including chronic condition management clinics.

Overall, patients were positive about the care they received and frequently praised staff for being kind, approachable and supportive. Doctors and nurses were described as professional, caring and willing to explain conditions and treatments clearly. Many patients reported being able to access appointments when needed and highlighted improvements in appointment availability and communication.

Patients also valued the practice’s prescription services, collaboration with hospitals and the range of options for checking in and managing appointments. However, some concerns were raised about difficulties booking advance appointments, seeing the same clinician consistently, waiting times for appointments, communication about test results and medication changes, and occasional problems with parking. A small number of patients expressed a preference for face-to-face consultations rather than telephone appointments.

Healthwatch concluded that patient experiences at Litcham Health Centre were generally very positive, with strong praise for the quality of care and staff support. Areas for improvement included continuity of care, communication, appointment availability and reducing waiting times, although most patients remained satisfied with the service overall.
