Summary of report content

Healthwatch Calderdale and Healthwatch Kirklees undertook research on what women were doing to look after their health and wellbeing.  This report is the report on the results from Kirklees.  They heard from 436 women during October and November 2023.

Over a quarter felt that feeling or being healthy was important to their wider health and wellbeing.  Over a third felt that access to services made it difficult to manage their own health.  To overcome these barriers, three in ten women said they would ask for support.

Nearly two in five felt that increased access to medical attention was the thing they needed most to improve the way in which they managed their health.
