Summary of report content

This is a summary report by Healthwatch Calderdale and Healthwatch Kirklees. The project is about men's health in the two areas. This report focuses on mental health.

A total of 318 men were heard from as part of this work through a variety of methods.

Several things were mentioned that might be useful:

  • More access to a variety of community groups specifically for men.
  • Access support from community based mental health team to help men eat healthily. 
  • Access support from Social Prescribing service 
  • More help for low level support and more opportunties just to talk to someone. 
  • Being able to access the adult Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) pathway in a more timely way.
