Summary of report content

Staff members from Healthwatch Bath and Northeast Somerset and Healthwatch Swindon attended the NHS ConfedExpo in June 2022. This report highlights the findings from the sessions.

The first session what about improving community mental health provision for autistic people. Some challenges include long waits for assessments, funding crisis and demands on staff.

Session two was about collaborative working between the voluntary and community sectors and how the voluntary sector is coming together in ISCs.

The third session was about the elective backlog and reducing health inequalities, as the more deprived areas have longer waiting lists. The fourth session focused on cultural literacy and reducing winter pressure, highlighting the need for culturally relevant communications for managing respiratory infections at home.
