Summary of report content

Healthwatch Lewisham undertook engagement to feed into the London Ambulance Strategy, including on 999 and 111.  They undertook a survey to which 28 people.  Key findings were:

  • 999: Only a quarter of people mentioned a quick response time w
  • 999: Most people mentioned that staff were friendly and caring
  • 999: a few people wanted better communication of response times
  • 111: half reported that they had experienced long waiting times to get through or receive callbacks
  • Increased public education for when to use 999 and emergency services.
