Summary of report content

Healthwatch Wokingham Borough have reported on the insight they have received and the activities they have undertaken during the period 1 March to 15 May 2020.

During this time, they produced dedicated Covid-19 information and advice resources their website including about accessing dental services and support for new parents and pregnancy. They developed and published a Covid-19 FAQ, completed their research on perinatal mental health, launched a campaign with voluntary sector partners and launched a Covid-19 survey.  They have shared and raised issues of high concern for the public, including dentistry, pharmacy and community nursing visits.  They have worked collaboratively with other Healthwatch partners in Reading and West Berkshire and represented Healthwatch strategically with locality CCG’s, Hospital Trusts and the Integrated Care System.  They have also engaged in community group forums e.g. ZOOM weekly meeting with a local group for people with learning disabilities.
