This report presents key themes from what Healthwatch East Sussex heard from the public and patients in August 2022.
- GP services. Inaccessibility of appointments and long waiting times were major issues.
- Dentists and dental services. Many people said they were struggling to find an NHS dentist taking new patients in East Sussex.
- Hospital services. People contacted for support with complaints about their experiences, largely focused on delays and cancellations, poor communication and poor quality of care and treatment.
- Pharmacies. Mixed feedback, with some positive and some negative experiences.
- Other services. People reported challenges contacting adult social care, concerns about the appropriateness of care in care homes, and issues receiving appropriate NHS mental health support.
