Summary of report content

Healthwatch East Sussex report on their information and signposting service enquiries during February 2023.  During this period they heard from 42 people.

The most common enquiries were about dentistry and GPs.  On dentistry they heard about people who couldn’t find an NHS dentist and existing NHS dentists going private.

On GPs, they heard that asylum seekers found it difficult to access GPs due to not having the necessary ID and proof of address.

They also heard about adult social care assessments, including the length of time to wait for assessments and a lack of support from social services.
