Download (PDF 670.5 KB)Summary of report content
Healthwatch Milton Keynes collected feedback from 101 residents about their experiences of healthcare during the Coronavirus pandemic during 4th May to 18th May 2020.
The report found people had good experiences of obtaining information and advice, although those with additional communication needs found this more difficult. There have been a range of experiences with accessing GP support, such as difficulties getting B12 injections, or positive experiences with phone consultations. People have reported that they have experienced delays and cancellations with their hospital appointments. Those who required maternity services were often confused about where to go for follow up visits as the GPs were restricting access. Those who received social care support are often left isolated and without the care that they need due to carers self-isolating.
No recommendations were made.
