Healthwatch Dorset, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton report on their impact for the year 2019/20.

Highlights include engagement work with Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities and seldom heard groups to help inform how health services can be improved; their  Empowering Engagement Programme being rolled out and offered to NHS colleagues; supporting local initiatives such as Communities Against, which is a great example of how the NHS can help build capacity and social value within communities in a cost-effective way.
