Summary of report content

This report details the findings of Healthwatch Manchester's project, which involved visiting six Extra Care venues. They spoke to 35 residents in receipt of the Extra Care service.

Most residents reported that the Extra Care service they receive is of good quality, but noted that some people told Healthwatch they were unable to access dental treatment. Most respondents felt that the service had helped them to retain independence and live a more active life, and that their health would have deteriorated without it. They also found that the location of the service affected how integrated participants felt within their local communities.
