Summary of report content

Following the engagement they undertook on mental health for the NHS Long Term Plan Healthwatch Doncaster undertook engagement events at Pride and the Recovery Games to explore this topic more fully on 16 and 17 August 2019.  In total they spoke to 55 people.

The research explores the following themes:

  • How people support others and themselves struggling with emotional health
  • How equipped people supporting others feel they are able to do so and how they look after themselves
  • Experiences of services in Doncaster, including gaps in emotional and mental health support

The report contains 5 recommendations to address the issues raised.
