Summary of report content

Healthwatch Derby wanted to understand people’s experience of accessing GP services and gathered feedback via polls on social media. They interacted with 153 people.

Over seven in ten people said that it was not easy at all or not very easy to get an appointment with their GP.

Nearly two thirds had had a telephone appointment with their GP most recently.

Nearly two in five wanted to make the initial contact with their GP online.

Over three quarters had never failed to attend a GP appointment without giving notice.

Over half were likely or very likely to recommend their GP to others.
