Healthwatch Comments on STP Report, Ealing

Summary of report content

A very critical report of the local system STP plans and recommendations and in particular that it is compounded by the risk that existing hospital based provision will be discontinued before replacement community based facilities have become established and with an inadequate period of ‘parallel running’.

There is suggestion that the plan is an extremely wide ranging and challenging project that is being proposed within an extremely tight timescale and in the absence of an accountable management structure.

Whilst there is no reason to believe the information provided is not accurate there is no indication where the local Healthwatch has obtained its evidence and whilst the report is intended to be a Healthwatch report it refers to the first personal singular ‘I’ frequently throughout the report.
