Healthwatch Brent enter and view reports: The experience of adult safeguarding in Brent care homes

This is a summary report of the enter and view work done by Healthwatch Brent between November 2017 and March 2018. The report was published March 2018.

During the review period the Healthwatch had visited 5 care homes.

Summary of recommendations:

- Safeguarding board to acknowledge report and takes action

- Consideration to be given to a central portal for enter and view reports and associated inspection reports

- Further collaboration with authorities to improve information about care homes

- For the council to disseminate good practice found in homes

- For the council to ensure safeguarding is followed up in a timely way
