Healthwatch Camden interviewed local people about the impact of their housing on their health. They wanted to find out to what extent various health and wellbeing support services can help reduce the impact of poor or insecure housing on the health and wellbeing of local residents. They heard that:

Housing issues in Camden are contributing to high levels of stress and anxiety which are detrimental to mental health, poor relationships with landlords and neighbours are a major factor in housing-related stress, stress about rent and security of tenure is common, and there is low awareness and uptake of available support services.

Healthwatch Camden provided 5 recommendations that focused on integrating health and housing at a strategic and service delivery level, making support services easier to find and use, encouraging GP practices to play a more active role in connecting patient to support community sector services.
