Summary of report content

Healthwatch Luton undertook a listening event on access to GP services after receiving feedback on this issue.  Eight people attended.

Issues raised included:

  • Problems calling to book appointments
  • A dislike of triaging
  • The need for choice of appointment
  • Long waits on the phone to get through to the practice
  • Suggestions for improving access to GP practices
