Healthwatch Sefton analysed their feedback about GP surgeries during 2021. During this period, they received 134 reviews.
They heard about:
- Problems booking appointments, particularly by phone
- The consultation, including face-to-face, e-consult and phone
- Access to regular routine health checks
- Access to prescriptions
- GP surgeries offering services from different sites – causing patients stress having to travel and use public transport during Covid-19.
- Staff attitude which was mostly positive
The report contains four recommendations from commissioners and responses from commissioners.
