This report was written by Healthwatch Blackburn and Darwen following feedback gathered over time on loneliness and isolation. Questionnaires and face to face discussions were used.

The report was published October, 2017. It is based on survey responses and discussions with local people. A total of 250 people were engaged with, 130 completed the questionnaire.

Overall sentiment was mixed, the experiences and challenges of isolation and loneliness were explored in detail.

A set of recommendations has been made. No response from providers is attached, though this project does not engage with a single provider of services.
