Summary of report content

Healthwatch Warrington undertook an announced/unannounced enter and view visit to Whittle Hall on 15 January 2025.

Whittle Hall has dedicated staff who feel well supported, and there was a friendly, caring feeling around the facility. Due to the high levels of Dementia through the units and no family members being present, Healthwatch was unable to gain feedback at the time of the visit. The availability of Psychologists is providing ongoing help and support to the residents with high levels of Dementia. The 1-2-1 work observed was enriching, and the sensory room is a great resource for the home.

The report has seven recommendations about information, dementia friendly initiatives, activities and reviewing items that might be a trip hazard.
