Summary of report content

Waterside Care Home is a care home in Blackpool which provides personal care for up to 14 residents. The care home has a large proportion of residents who suffer from dementias or lack capacity.

The visit was arranged as part of Healthwatch Blackpool’s enter and view schedule and was conducted on 4th December 2015 where 4 residents spoke to representatives to give their views.

Observation by the enter and view representatives reported that:

All the residents who were consulted said that they were well care for with the residents giving positive comments about the staff and the home in general.

The care home was given some minor recommendations surrounding activities and involvement in key decisions. They were given 28 days to respond to these which was not fulfilled.
